Multiple Locations
Manage the calendar across multiple locations as a Chain Admin.
If your business has multiple locations, FlowDule’s calendar gives you a unified overview across all sites — without losing the ability to drill down into details for a single location.
The dashboard calendar
The Chain Admin’s default view is a dashboard-calendar hybrid that combines key metrics with a combined agenda.
The overview strip
At the top of the screen, you see a location selector ribbon with horizontal tabs:
“All” | “Downtown” | “Mall” | “Westside”
Below that, summary cards show:
- Today’s bookings — Total count across locations
- Utilization percentage — How much capacity is being used
- Alerts — Understaffed locations, cancellation spikes
- Revenue — Today’s total revenue
Tip
Tap a summary card to filter the view. For example, tapping “Alerts” will highlight the locations that need attention.
The combined agenda view
Below the summary, a chronological agenda view shows all bookings from all locations:
- Each booking is tagged with a location badge (e.g., “Downtown”, “Westside”)
- Bookings are color-coded per location for quick visual scanning
- Time ordering ensures you see what’s happening now first
Drilling down into a location
From the dashboard, you can drill down in three ways:
- Tap a location tab — Filters the entire view to that location
- Tap a summary card — Jumps to that specific location’s calendar
- Tap a booking — Opens booking details with location context
Note
When you drill down to a single location, the view automatically switches from agenda to day/week grid, so you can see the timeline overview for that specific site.
Month heatmap for capacity planning
The month view for Chain Admins shows a heatmap where color intensity reflects booking density across locations.
Reading the heatmap
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Light green | Low occupancy — plenty of available slots |
| Dark green | Moderate occupancy — normal operations |
| Amber | High occupancy — few slots left |
| Red | Fully booked or overbooked |
Drill down from the heatmap
Tap a cell in the heatmap to see a per-location breakdown for that date:
- Number of bookings per location
- Utilization percentage per location
- Alerts (understaffing, overbooking)
Location-specific views
When you’ve drilled down into a single location, you have access to all standard calendar views:
- Day view — Timeline for the specific location
- Week view — Weekly overview for the location
- Staff view — Practitioner columns for the location’s staff
- Agenda view — Flat list of the location’s bookings
Navigating between locations
You can switch between locations without going back to the dashboard:
- Tap the location selector at the top
- Choose another location or “All”
- The view updates instantly
Best practices for multiple locations
Start broad, drill down
Always start on the “All locations” dashboard for a unified overview, then drill down into specific locations that need attention.
Use the heatmap
Check the month heatmap weekly to identify patterns — busy periods, underutilized days, and the need for staffing adjustments.
Compare locations
Use the summary cards to quickly compare utilization across locations. Locations with consistently low utilization may need marketing efforts, while high utilization may indicate the need for additional capacity.
