Calendar Views
Explore the day, week, month, and agenda views in FlowDule's calendar.
FlowDule offers four primary calendar views plus specialized views for Location Managers and Chain Admins. Each view is optimized for specific workflows.
Day View
The day view shows a detailed timeline for a single day with hourly slots from morning to evening.
What you see:
- Timeline on the left with hour markers
- Booking cards placed at their exact time
- A red time indicator showing the current time
- Available slots clearly visible between bookings
Best for:
- Viewing your complete daily schedule
- Identifying gaps between appointments
- Dragging and dropping bookings to new times
Tip
You can adjust the timeline density via settings. Choose between Comfortable (default), Compact, or Dense view depending on how much detail you want to see.
Density modes
| Mode | Slot height | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Comfortable | 60-72dp | Practitioners and clients — good readability |
| Compact | 48-56dp | Location Managers — overview of many practitioners |
| Dense | 36-44dp | Chain Admins — dashboard overview |
Week View
The week view provides a complete overview of the entire week with days as columns and hours as rows.
What you see:
- 7 columns (or 5 for work week) with one day per column
- Booking cards in compact format
- Color coding per practitioner or service
Best for:
- Planning across multiple days
- Spotting patterns in your week (busy days vs. quiet days)
- Quick rescheduling between days
Month View
The month view gives a bird’s-eye view of the entire month. Each day is shown as a cell with indicators for booking activity.
What you see:
- Compact month grid with dots or numbers indicating bookings per day
- Color intensity reflecting booking density (light green to dark red for Chain Admins)
- Tap a day to drill down to the day view
Best for:
- Long-term planning
- Identifying busy and quiet periods
- Overall capacity management
Month Heatmap (Chain Admins)
Chain Admins see a special heatmap in the month view, where cell color reflects booking density:
- Light green — Low occupancy, plenty of available slots
- Dark green — Moderate occupancy
- Amber — High occupancy, few slots left
- Red — Fully booked or overbooked
Note
Tap a heatmap cell to see the per-location breakdown for that date.
Agenda View
The agenda view displays all bookings as a chronological list — an alternative to the time grid for those who prefer a simple overview.
What you see:
- Bookings ordered by time with client name, service, practitioner, and location
- Status icons (confirmed, pending, cancelled)
- Date headers grouping bookings per day
Best for:
- Quick overview of upcoming appointments
- Managing bookings (confirm, cancel, edit)
- Chain Admin’s default view for all locations
Staff View (Location Managers only)
The staff view shows columns per practitioner with the day’s schedule side by side. This gives Location Managers a unique overview of the entire team’s occupancy.
What you see:
- 2-3 practitioner columns visible with horizontal swipe for more
- Practitioners not working that day are automatically hidden
- Shifts as hatched background bands
- Bookings as colored cards in each column
Tip
Use the staff view to identify gaps in the team’s schedule and assign bookings to the right practitioner.
Timeline/Gantt View (Location Managers only)
The timeline view shows resources (practitioners and rooms) as horizontal rows with bookings as bars along a timeline. Best used in landscape orientation.
Best for:
- Resource and room planning
- Visualizing overlap and capacity
- Long-term shift planning
